KAWARTHA LAKES — Two men were charged Friday April 18 after police discovered an illegal marijuana grow operation in an Eldon Township barn. They were also charged with stealing electricity.

James Bennett, 26, and Michael Van Vugt, 25 were arrested after police seized almost 3,000 plants, 14 pounds of marijuana bud and one pound of shake.

Total value of seized equipment and drugs is $3.1 million.
