
Brian Enright wins first Tri-County
Holstein show

SPENCERVILLE— The inaugural grand champion at the Leeds, Dundas, and Grenville Holstein show — also named cow with best udder — was a five-year-old owned by Brian Enright, of Winright Farms near Winchester, in Dundas County.
Matt Enright, who showed Birkentree MG Steffie for his father Brian, was thrilled with the victory. "We work so hard all year round," said Matt, who has been showing for more than 10 years. "This victory is a great reward for all of our hard work."
Other champions include:
• Reserve grand champion and honourable mention: Mike Farlinger, of Morrisburg’s Signature Holsteins, Dundas County.
• Junior champion and reserve champion: Gordie Black, Grenville County.
• Honourable mention: Bill and Mike Dwyre, Leeds County.
Premier breeder and premier exihibitor: Bill and Mike Dwyre.
• Breeder’s herd: Gerald and Hugh Hunter, Smiths Falls, Leeds County.
"We were quite pleased with the turnout," explained coordinator Allan Earle. "We had tremendous quality and all of the organizers are really pleased with the exhibits."
Gary Vanderpost, of Uxbridge, judged the event, that included 140 head.
