Stage
two on nutrient management regulations
Meetings at Trenton
and Brockville
The second stage of hearings on the regulations of the
Nutrient Management Act will begin on December 11 in Mississauga. A
meeting has been scheduled for December 16, at Brockville, Spring Valley
Community Hall on Highway 29. The time is 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. Helen
Johns, minister of agriculture, will be the host.
The second eastern meeting is scheduled for December
16, Trenton, Holiday Inn, Harvest Ballroom. Time is 2:00 p.m. to 4:00
p.m.. Doug Galt, minister without portfolio, is host.
Among other things, the hearing will be on construction of barns,
setbacks from water courses, quality standards of applied nutrients, along
with transporting and winter spreading. It will also address feedlots and
training.
